ABC/Randy HolmesTom Morello invited System of a Down‘s Serj Tankian on stage to help pay tribute to the late Chris Cornell during the Rage Against the Machine guitarist’s solo set at last weekend’s Sonic Temple festival.
Tankian joined Morello for a performance of the Audioslave track “Like a Stone.” You can watch fan-filmed footage of the collaboration now on YouTube.
The set took place on May 17, one day before the two-year anniversary of Cornell’s death.
Tankian previously performed “Like a Stone” with Morello and the other members of Audioslave — Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk — in 2017 in Germany and 2018 in New Zealand.
