Avenged Sevenfold selling gear to benefit youth music education program

Credit: Jeff ForneyAvenged Sevenfold has teamed up with the online gear marketplace Reverb to sell a variety of instruments, equipment and memorabilia to benefit Notes for Notes, a non-profit youth music education organization.

Among the items going up for sale include a Schecter guitar played by Synyster Gates during A7X’s tour with Metallica, Johnny Christ‘s stage-used custom sunburst Schecter bass, and a microphone signed by all the band members.

“When I got the call from our friends at Hot Topic that Avenged Sevenfold wanted to find a way to support our mission, I was blown away as a fan and by their generosity,” says Notes for Notes co-founder Philip Gilley. “One of the biggest bands in the world wanted to cruise into the studio to spend time with our youth and raise money to help sustain our work…the power of music never ceases to amaze me.”

The sale will launch June 4. Visit Reverb.com for more info.
