ABC/Randy HolmesMetallica‘s James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett will be performing the national anthem prior to Game 3 of the NBA Finals, which will see the band’s hometown Golden State Warriors take on the visiting Toronto Raptors.
Hetfield and Hammett have previously performed their instrumental version of “The Star-Spangled Banner” for Warriors games, as well as before San Francisco Giants baseball games and San Jose Sharks hockey games.
Game 3 of the NBA Finals airs Wednesday, June 5 on ABC. The series is currently tied 1-1.
