Metallica announces London exhibit in partnership with “Kerrang!” magazine

ABC/Randy HolmesA new Metallica exhibition is opening at the London House of Vans in partnership with the U.K.’s Kerrang! magazine.

Titled “Hardwired…and Early Dayz,” the exhibit will be separated into two sections. One will be focused on Metallica’s latest album, 2016’s Hardwired…to Self-Destruct, while the other will explore the band’s early career, up to 1988’s …And Justice for All.

Included in the display will be Kerrang! covers and features, artwork, memorabilia and never-before-seen photos.

“Kerrang!’s relationship with Metallica pre-dates even the band, when a young Lars Ulrich would read about his favorite bands in our pages,” says Kerrang! editor Sam Coare.

“We’ve been the Bay Area legends’ staunchest supporter since their early demos, and we’re now delighted to be able to commemorate that association with our friends at House of Vans.”

“Hardwired…and Early Dayz” will open June 18 ahead of Metallica’s show at London’s Twickenham Stadium June 20, and will run throughout the month. On June 19 and 20, the exhibit will include a pop-up shop featuring exclusive Metallica merchandise.
