Static-X adds more dates to 20th anniversary “Wisconsin Death Trip” tour

Credit: Matt Zane PhotographyStatic-X has added nine more dates to the band’s 20th anniversary Wisconsin Death Trip tour.

The newly announced shows will take place in November and December, and include stops in New Orleans, Chicago and Tampa, Florida. Visit Static-X.org for ticket info.

The tour will feature the surviving members of the original Static-X lineup — bassist Tony Campos, guitarist Koichi Fukuda and drummer Ken Jay — playing 1999’s Wisconsin Death Trip in its entirety and paying tribute to the band’s late singer, Wayne Static.

Vocals will be handled by “Xer0,” an unidentified singer wearing a mask designed in Static’s likeness.

Along with the tour, Static-X is planning to release a new album called Project Regeneration, featuring Static’s final vocal recordings.

“We want to say thank you to everyone who has participated in this 20th anniversary celebration of Wisconsin Death Trip!” Static-X says. “The response has been mind-blowing and we are beyond excited to hit the road and throw down with all of our fans. The new album, Project Regeneration, is almost done and an official release date will be announced very soon!”
