Ghost frontman Tobias Forge is predicting a 2021 release for the band's next album.
"I would say by early 2021, you can expect the next chapter of the Ghost story," Forge tells Ireland's Overdrive.
Forge adds that he plans to hit the studio January 2020 to stark working on the album.
"In order to make that record, it's gonna take me about six months and then that's gonna take me to the summer," he explains. "We've already decided we're gonna take a break and let the dust settle, and then hopefully by the end of the summer the record will be finished."
The new album will be the follow-up to 2018's Grammy-nominated Prequelle, which features the singles "Rats," "Dance Macabre" and "Faith."
This fall, before Ghost returns to the studio, the band will launch a North American headlining tour, starting September 13 in Bakersfield, California.
