Courtesy of SpinefarmAtreyu has debuted the video for “House of Gold,” a track off the band’s latest album, In Our Wake.
The clip, streaming now on YouTube, mixes performance footage of the California metallers with fantastical, alien-like imagery.
“For the video, we didn’t want to take a literal approach,” drummer Brandon Saller says. “We wanted to sort of just go off the rails. We wanted to continue to do things that seemed fresh to us, aesthetically. This is an extension of the video aesthetic that we dove into so far on this record, but with a sort of comic book-like, alternate reality twist.”
Atreyu recently wrapped a European tour, which they did without vocalist Alex Varkatzas, who was recovering from a back injury. He’s expected to rejoin the band for their run on the Disrupt touring festival, beginning June 28 in Atlanta.
