Beastie Boys releasing three-inch vinyl “Sabotage” single

ABC/Randy HolmesBeastie Boys are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their 1994 album Ill Communication with a special, three-inch vinyl single featuring the hit “Sabotage.”

The adorable disc was created in partnership with Record Store Day, and will be available in independent record stores July 19. Only 2,500 copies were made.

To play the single, you’ll need the RSD3 mini-turntable, which made its debut for April’s Record Store Day. Other artists who’ve released three-inch singles include Foo Fighters, Jack White, Bad Religion and Rancid.

Released May 31, 1994, Ill Communication topped the Billboard 200 and was certified three-times platinum.
