Kurt Cobain credited on new Lil Nas X song, “Panini”

Columbia RecordsAfter sampling Nine Inch Nails on his breakthrough mega-hit “Old Town Road,” rapper Lil Nas X has turned to another ’90s rock icon for his latest song, “Panini.”

According to the track’s credits as listed on Tidal, Kurt Cobain is listed as a composer and lyricist. That’s because “Panini” interpolates the vocal melody from the Nirvana classic “In Bloom.”

If you want to hear it for yourself, “Panini” is available now via digital outlets.

“Old Town Road,” which samples NIN’s 2008 song “34 Ghost IV,” has topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 11 straight weeks. Since NIN’s Trent Reznor is a credited writer on “Old Town Road,” the track gave him the first number-one hit of his career.
