Last year, Jane's Addiction's Dave Navarro and Billy Idol guitarist Billy Morrison launched the Above Ground charity concert to raise money for mental health treatment, with proceeds going to MusiCares, the charitable arm of the Recording Academy. Now, they're bringing the event back for another go-round.
The 2019 Above Ground show will take place September 16 at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles. During the event, Navarro and Morrison will lead an all-star band in covers of two iconic albums: The Stooges' 1969 self-titled debut, and David Bowie's 1972 classic The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars.
The full lineup of guests this year has yet to be announced. Among those who participated in 2018 included Billy Idol, Corey Taylor and Courtney Love.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, June 28 at 10 a.m. PT.
