ABC/Randy HolmesMetallica and Ghost have been touring Europe together, and the band’s respective members Kirk Hammett and Tobias Forge took a break from melting faces to have a chat about the tour.
In the 11-minute clip, streaming now on YouTube, Hammett explains why the metal legends wanted to invite the theatrical Swedish rockers on the road with them.
“We all were big Ghost fans,” Hammett says. “We want to put on the best possible show for our fans, and that means bringing out the best possible bands we can to play with us.”
Additionally, a good chunk of the video consists of Hammett and Forge just completely nerding out about guitars.
Metallica’s tour with Ghost continues July 6 in Berlin.
