Dave Grohl reunites with medic who held his broken leg at Sweden show

ABC/Randy HolmesDave Grohl dedicated a performance of “My Hero” to one of his heroes during Foo Fighters‘ show at Lollapalooza Stockholm over the weekend.

While introducing the song, Grohl retold the now-famous story of the 2015 Foos show in Gothenburg, Sweden, during which he fell off the stage and broke his leg.  He managed to return and finish the show, all while a medic held his leg steady. Grohl revealed that the medic, named Johan, was in the crowd for the Lolla show.

After his fellow audience members spotted him, they helped Johan crowd-surf to the front, where he eventually joined Grohl and company on stage to sing “My Hero.”

Also during the Stockholm show, the Foos invited Lolla founder and Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell on stage to perform “Been Caught Stealing.”
