Capitol Records Beck has premiered the video for a updated version of his new single, “Saw Lightning.”
The new recording strips out everything from the original save for vocals and a harmonica riff, making it reminiscent of Beck’s lo-fi track “One Foot in the Grave,” released in 1994. The accompanying video reflects its minimalism with a black-and-white shot of Beck holding only a microphone and a harmonica while stomping on the floor of an empty room.

The original “Saw Lightning” dropped in April, and will be included on Beck’s upcoming album Hyperspace, which is set to arrive “sometime in the future.”
Beck will launch a co-headlining tour with Cage the Elephant this Thursday, July 11 in Ridgefield, Washington.
