Korn’s new album “The Nothing” is a “completely different beast” from last record

Roadrunner Records/Elektra Korn frontman Jonathan Davis is sharing more details about the band’s upcoming album The Nothing, telling Kerrang! that the new record is a “completely different beast” than their last effort, 2016’s The Serenity of Suffering.

“Musically, I think it’s leaps and bounds from that,” Davis explains.

Davis adds that he experimented a lot with his vocals on The Nothing.

“On this record there’s some songs that’ve got 20-something vocal tracks on it,” he reveals. “I went full-on Queen and [Electric Light Orchestra]!”

The Nothing, which features the lead single “You’ll Never Find Me,” is due out September 13. Korn will embark on a U.S. tour with Alice in Chains starting July 18 in Austin, Texas.
