Credit: Chrissy NixSkillet has debuted the video for “Legendary,” the lead single from the band’s upcoming album, Victorious.
The clip, which premiered on People.com, finds the group in a dark room surrounded by neon lights, which flash in rhythm with the music.
“The message behind the song that is so important for our world is simply to live your life the way you think you should,” frontman John Cooper tells People. “Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, and don’t be afraid to go against the crowd.”
“You only have one life to live, so make it count for the things you believe and the people you love,” he adds. “That’s how you live a legendary life.”
Victorious arrives August 2. Skillet will launch a summer tour in support of the record with Sevendust August 11 in Memphis, Tennessee, followed by a fall run with Alter Bridge.
