Adler had been out of the group since 2018 due to injuries he sustained in a 2017 motorcycle accident. He was replaced by Art Cruz, who plays in the bands Prong and Winds of Plague, but he’s now permanently joined Lamb of God.

“We’d like to officially welcome Art Cruz, who has been playing drums with us on tour for the last year, as the new drummer of Lamb of God,” reads a statement on the band’s Facebook. “Art will be joining us in the studio as we begin pre-production and recording of a new album.”

“We’re very proud of everything this band has accomplished over the last two decades,” the statement continues. “We would like to thank Chris Adler for his contributions over the years and wish him the best in his future endeavors.”

Adler was an original member of Lamb of God, back when they were called Burn the Priest. He’s played on every one of the band’s albums.
