New Slipknot song dropping Monday

ABC/Randy HolmesSlipknot is kicking off next week with a new song.

The masked metallers have uploaded a new teaser video to Twitter, featuring frontman Corey Taylor singing the lyric “Today, up on this hill/I’m counting all the killers.”

If you pause the video right at the four-second mark, you see a flash of the Slipknot logo and the word “Monday,” suggesting that the new track will arrive on July 22.

Slipknot didn’t reveal the name of the song, but if you take a look at the iTunes page for their upcoming album We Are Not Your Kind, the closing track “Solway Firth” has a timestamp next to it, which usually indicates that a release is imminent.

We Are Not Your Kind, which also features the lead single “Unsainted,” arrives August 9. Slipknot launches a U.S. tour in support of the album July 26 in Mountain View, California.
