Chevelle is the latest band to create a signature beer.
The Chicago rockers have teamed up with hometown company Revolution Brewing to create La Gargola, a German-style Helles Lagar.
“We chose a Helles-style Lager because we wanted a beer that was easy-drinking and did not sacrifice taste or quality,” says frontman Pete Loeffler. “Being from the Chicago area, we’ve been fans of [Revolution Brewing’s] beers for as long as we can remember. Having the opportunity to work on our own special edition with one of our favorite breweries is a special moment for us.”
La Gargola, which is named after Chevelle’s 2014 album, will launch at a special event held at Revolution Brewpub in Chicago on August 1, the night before Chevelle plays Lollapalooza. Details about a wide release have yet to be announced.
Chevelle is currently on tour with Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace. The summer outing continues Tuesday in Noblesville, Indiana.
