Papa Roach wants fans to leave US headlining tour “with their minds blown”

It’ll be the “Last Resort” rockers’ first big U.S. headlining run behind the record, and frontman Jacoby Shaddix tells ABC Radio that they’ve planned accordingly.

“We’re working on really cool production for this tour,” Shaddix says. “[We’re] investing money into our show for this headline run. We really want fans to walk away with their minds blown.”

Shaddix adds that, while he feels Papa Roach shows will always be good regardless of production, he believes that the new bells and whistles will help them take things up a notch.

“For us, we’re one of those bands that we don’t necessarily need the explosions and the video content and all that kind of crazy stuff for our show to be kicka**,” Shaddix explains. “So we feel like when we add extra elements on top of what we’re doing, it’s just gonna take our show to that next level.”

“That’s really exciting for us in the band,” he adds. “But I think for the fans, they’re gonna walk away going, ‘Damn, dude, that was a banger!'”

Papa Roach has been playing Who Do You Trust? songs live this year during a run opening for Shinedown and a recently wrapped European outing, and Shaddix feels that the new material has been “great” as far as how it’s translating to the live stage.

“It brings a fun element to the show,” he says. “I think some of the newer songs are a bit more lighthearted, in a sense, at moments. I think that adds to the ebb and the flow and the dynamic of our show.”

Papa Roach’s tour will also feature support from Asking Alexandria and Bad Wolves on select dates.
