The Danish rockers have released a new song called “Pelvis on Fire,” which you can download now via digital outlets. Speaking about the track, frontman Michael Poulsen says, “It’s a pure rock n’ roller.”

“When you hear songs from the ’50s and ’60s, and read the lyrics, they are not that deep,” he adds. “But it sounds great. It is a feeling. It’s a movement. It’s sexuality. It’s emotional and that thing we feel when we hear good rock n’ roll.”

“Pelvis on Fire” will appear on Volbeat’s upcoming album Rewind, Replay, Rebound, which arrives August 2. It also features the single “Last Day Under the Sun.”

Volbeat will spend their summer opening for Slipknot‘s U.S. tour, which kicks off Friday in Mountain View, California.
