New Prophets of Rage music dropping “in the next week or so”

ABC/Randy HolmesProphets of Rage dropped a new song called “Made with Hate” in June, and the rock-rap supergroup has more music in the pipeline.

“We’re working on new material that we’ll hopefully have out, in response to specific circumstances in our country right now, in the next week or so,” Tom Morello tells Rock Sound in an interview published Tuesday.

“We’re hopeful to have more after that, and continue to work on music,” the guitarist adds.

Prophets of Rage, which also include Morello’s Rage Against the Machine band mates Brad Wilk and Tim Commerford, as well as rappers Chuck D and B-Real, released their self-titled debut album in 2017. As the band continues to release new material, Morello isn’t sure if they’ll stick with the traditional album format.

“In this day and age I’m not sure than an album means quite what it once did,” he says. “But we’ll continue to work on material to explore our sound, who we are in 2019 and beyond.”

Prophets of Rage are currently on tour in Europe.
