Credit: Martin JausllerSlayer has teamed up with the Rick Ware Racing NASCAR team to sponsor a car in an upcoming race.
The thrash band’s iconic logo will adorn the hood of the No. 54 Chevrolet, which will be driven by NASCAR racer JJ Yeley.
“NASCAR racing and Slayer have a lot in common,” says guitarist Kerry King. “Both are extremely fast, intense and aggressive.”
“I can think of nothing more rad than seeing the Slayer logo on Rick’s car with JJ behind the wheel,” he adds. “I’m sure disciples of everyone involved will be completely stoked on the bond between these two fierce entities!”
The Slayer Chevrolet will promote Slayer’s final world tour, which wraps up with one last U.S. leg kicking off in November. What the group says is their very last show will take place November 30 in Los Angeles.
