Man reportedly dies after falling during Chicago-area Slipknot concert

ABC/Randy HolmesA man has reportedly died after falling down while moshing during Slipknot‘s concert Sunday at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in the Chicago suburb of Tinley Park.

According to local Tinley Park version of Patch.com, witnesses saw 62-year-old Richard Valadez fall onto the grass of the venue after being knocked out of the mosh pit and suffering a seizure. Two people reportedly performed CPR on Valadez while others attempted to flag down venue staff and emergency personnel. He was pronounced dead later Sunday night.

Witnesses say that the scene was very confusing, and it took up to 25 minutes for staff to help Valadez.

“[The venue] definitely should have handled things better,” one witness said. “More emergency presence for one. And a better way for people to alert that they need help.”

Slipknot is currently touring the U.S. behind the new album, We Are Not Your Kind. The trek also features Volbeat, Gojira and Behemoth.
