Credit: Sebastian SmithCreed has been on hiatus since 2012, but frontman Scott Stapp tells ABC Radio that “everything’s positive” between him and the rest of the group.
“We’re in communication,” Stapp says. “Two or three months ago, [guitarist] Mark [Tremonti] and I spent a good hour, maybe more, on the phone just catching up, talking. So everything’s positive there.”
As for whether that communication will lead to a complete Creed reunion, Stapp says that’s still up in the air.
“The relationships are good,” he says. “If there’s anything beyond that, I know we’ll let the public know. But they can know that all the relationships are good.”
While a Creed reunion remains a theoretical proposition, you can listen right now to Stapp’s new solo album, The Space Between the Shadows, featuring the singles “Purpose for Pain” and “Name.” His current U.S. tour in support of the record continues Tuesday in Seattle.
Meanwhile, Tremonti, bassist Brian Marshall and drummer Scott Phillips currently play with Myles Kennedy in Alter Bridge, and will release a new album called Walk the Sky October 18.
