Social Distortion announces 40th anniversary concert with Joan Jett, The Distillers, The Kills & more

Credit: Danny ClinchSocial Distortion has been making noise for over four decades now, and to celebrate, the Southern California punks are playing a special 40th anniversary show this fall.

The hometown concert takes place October 26 at the FivePoint Amphitheatre in Irvine, California. The bill will also include Joan Jett, The Distillers, The Kills, Eagles of Death Metal and Frank Turner, among others.

“Sending out an invitation to everyone to join us and share in the celebration of our 40 year anniversary,” says frontman Mike Ness. “We have picked some of our favorite bands for a spectacular bill. We couldn’t have done it without our fans so thank you!”

Tickets go on sale this Thursday, August 29 at 10 a.m. local time via SocialDistortion.com.

Social Distortion formed in 1978, and has released seven studio albums, the most recent of which is 2011’s Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes.
