Nirvana’s “Live and Loud” concert film streaming online; early Kurt Cobain royalty check unearthed

GeffenNirvana‘s 1993 Live and Loud performance is out on vinyl today, and in addition to listening to the wax version, you can also watch the set streaming online.

Official footage of the concert, which was filmed in Seattle just a month after Nirvana’s iconic MTV Unplugged taping, is now available to watch via the grunge legends’ YouTube page.

In other Nirvana happenings, Seattle’s Easy Street Records recently uncovered an early royalty check sent to Kurt Cobain. The pre-Nevermind check, dated March 6, 1991, was for $26.57.

The record store posted a photo of the check on its Instagram, and wrote in the caption, “We’re guessing the next royalty checks were a bit larger.”
