Slipknot’s Clown declares 2019 to be “the greatest time of Slipknot”

ABC/Randy HolmesWith a new album out and a giant U.S. tour ongoing, it’s a pretty good time to be a Slipknot fan. As you might imagine, it feels even better to be in Slipknot.

Speaking to Kerrang!, percussionist Shawn “Clown” Crahan declares 2019 the “greatest time of Slipknot.”

“It’s just a wonderful time to be in Slipknot, to be around Slipknot, and it’s a wonderful time to watch and experience Slipknot,” Clown says. “I feel like everything we are is working at its full potential.”

Clown adds that he’s currently having “the most fun I’ve ever had.”

“Our management, booking agent, lawyers, label, our fans, ourselves…I feel like all of us are just working to the best benefit of Slipknot to get the vision out,” he says.

Truly, historians will look back at 2019 as the Year of the Knot.

Slipknot’s new album We Are Not Your Kind is out now. The band’s U.S. Knotfest Roadshow tour continues Wednesday in Tampa, Florida.
