Chester Bennington’s widow Talinda announces engagement

Courtesy ABC NewsTalinda Bennington, widow of late Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington, is engaged.

Talinda revealed the news in a tweet Friday night, writing that she’s “overjoyed to announce my engagement on my angel on earth.”

According to TMZ, Talinda’s fiancé, named Michael, is a Los Angeles County firefighter.

In her announcement, Talinda also adresses her late husband, who died by suicide July 2017.

“I am here to tell you that you can find love after tragedy,” she writes. “That the death of a soulmate does not mean the death of you.”

Talinda adds that her family and friends, as well as her “Linkin Park brothers,” have welcomed Michael with “open arms.”

“I will continue to honor Chester and continue my life’s mission to make his passing not in vain,” Talinda writes. “To all suicide loss survivors, you CAN by happy again. You CAN have space in your heart for grief, joy, happiness, sadness, and love.”

Talinda and Chester married in 2006. They had three children together; Chester had three other kids from previous relationships.
