Original Avenged Sevenfold bassist auctioning signed bass

iStock/drogatnevOriginal Avenged Sevenfold bassist Matt Wendt is auctioning off a signed bass he played during the early days of the band.

Wendt was a founding member of Avenged Sevenfold when the band formed in 1999. After playing a number of shows, he left the group in 2000 so he could go to college.

According to a statement from A7X, they recently caught up with Wendt, who thought there might be a fan interested in owning the bass, which he played on the band’s first demo.

You can place a bid for the instrument now through September 18 via A7XWorld.com. Wendt will donate the first $500 of the winning bid to charity.

The current Avenged Sevenfold bassist is Johnny Christ, who’s been in the band since 2002.
