Blink-182 cancels rescheduled Columbus tour date

Walt Disney Television/Paula LoboSomething about the idea of Blink-182 playing Columbus, Ohio seems to really offend the universe — the band has canceled a show in the city for the second straight year.

Back in the fall of 2018, Blink canceled a Columbus show as drummer Travis Barker continued to battle health issues stemming from blood clots in his arms. In May of this year, the punk trio announced that their joint tour with Lil Wayne would launch June 27 in Columbus, but then that show was pushed back to September 22 due to “production delays.”

Now, that September show has officially been canceled, according to Live Nation Columbus. No reason for the cancellation was given.

In general, the whole state of Ohio has had bad luck with Blink-182 shows. Last year, the band dropped off the lineup for Cincinnati’s Bunbury festival due to “unforeseen circumstances,” and promised that they’d headline the 2019 fest. However, they then scrapped that performance due to studio obligations that came with recording their new album, Nine.

Blink is once again scheduled to play Cincinnati on September 16 as part of the band’s 20th anniversary Enema of the State tour.
