Nothing More tells a father & son story with “Fade In/Fade Out” video

The emotional clip, streaming now on YouTube, follows the relationship between a father and son, and was partly inspired by frontman Jonny Hawkins‘ relationship with his own parents.

“When I sing this song I daydream about about my childhood…the days before my parents were broken apart by cancer,” Hawkins says. “I think about how my dad taught me to throw a ball. I think about how my mom taught me to tie my shoes. I think about how my dad would always say ‘hard work pays off’ trying to teach me a lesson while I was focused on a video game, too young to care.”

The Stories We Tell Ourselves, which was released in 2017, also features the singles “Go to War,” “Just Say When,” “Do You Really Want It?” and “Let ‘Em Burn.”

Nothing More will be touring the U.S. while opening for Ghost this fall, starting tonight in Bakersfield, California.
