Twenty One Pilots ties ‘Billboard’ chart record with “The Hype”

ABC/Image Group LATwenty One Pilots continues to live up to “The Hype” on the Billboard charts.

The latest single from the “Stressed Out” duo has reached number 10 on the Billboard Rock Airplay chart, which measures airplay across rock radio stations. That gives TOP nine straight top-10s on the ranking, tying a record set by Shinedown.

The first Twenty One Pilots single to reach the Rock Airplay top 10 was “Tear in My Heart” in 2015. Since then, every one of their singles has hit that mark.

Shinedown’s streak stretched from “Sound of Madness” in 2009 to “I’ll Follow You” in in 2013.

“The Hype” is a track off Twenty One Pilots’ latest album, 2018’s Trench. They’ll launch a fall U.S. tour in support of the record October 9 in Tampa, Florida.
