Chevelle bassist Dean Bernardini taking break from touring; band announces headlining dates

Christian Lantry/Courtesy of Adrenaline PRChevelle bassist Dean Bernardini is stepping away from the band to spend more time with his family.

“It is with a heavy heart that I have decided I will be taking a break from the road to spend some much- needed time at home with my family,” Bernardini says. “I consider myself lucky to have been a part of Chevelle [and to] have shared the stage with such incredible musicians.”

Bernardini, who is the brother-in-law of frontman Pete Loeffler and drummer Sam Loeffler, joined Chevelle in 2005 when third Loeffler brother Joe parted ways with the band. He’s played on every Chevelle record since 2007’s Vena Sera.
