Theory of a Deadman announces new album, ‘Say Nothing’; listen to single “History of Violence” now

Atlantic RecordsTheory of a Deadman has announced a new album called Say Nothing. The seventh studio effort from the Canadian rockers will arrive January 31.

The first single from Say Nothing is a song called “History of Violence,” which you can download now via digital outlets. The track is accompanied by a video, streaming now on YouTube, that reflects its story about a woman who’s sent to jail after shooting her abusive husband.

“‘History of Violence’ tells the sad story of a girl trapped in a life of domestic abuse, leaving her with what she feels is the only way to escape,” says frontman Tyler Connolly. “Even though she’s in jail, it’s still a better place to be than being imprisoned in real life by this man.”

Theory also shares the number to the National Domestic Violence Hotline: 1-800-799-7233.

Say Nothing is the follow-up to 2017’s Wake Up Call, which spawned the single “Rx (Medicate).”

Here’s the Say Nothing track list:

“Black Hole of Your Heart”
“History of Violence”
“Affluenza”
“Say Nothing”
“Strangers”
“Ted Bundy”
“World Keeps Spinning”
“Quicksand”
“White Boy”
“It’s All Good”
