Slipknot announces Anthrax and Korn will join them for Knotfest Japan

ABC/Randy HolmesLater this year, Slipknot is bringing their Knotfest to Mexico…and now the band has announced some of the acts who’ll be playing next year at the Japanese version of the festival.

The band’s Instagram features an image of the event poster, revealing that Korn and Anthrax will join the Knot for the festival, taking place near Tokyo on March 20 and 21, 2020.  The poster also teases that “more” acts will be joining the lineup.

As previously reported, the bill for Knotfest Mexico 2019 — dubbed Knotfest Meets Force Fest — includes Godsmack, 311, Papa Roach, Bullet for My Valentine, Nothing More, Of Mice & Men, Evanescence, Behemoth, Suicidal Tendencies, Rob Zombie, In Flames, W.A.S.P., Saxon, and Testament. That event takes place November 30 and December 1.

Knotfest Colombia goes down December 6, and features Testament, Saxon, W.A.S.P., Accept, and Behemoth.

Slipknot will, of course, perform at all the Knotfests.

The masked metallers recently wrapped a U.S. headlining tour in support of We Are Not Your Kind, and will play the upcoming Louder than Life festival on Friday, and the Aftershock festival next month. They’ll then head to Australia in October to open for Metallica.
