Skillet to appear at New York Comic Con to promote new graphic novel 'EDEN'

Chris HuntSkillet will find themselves out of their element on Friday when they meet and greet fans — not at a concert — but at New York Comic Con.

The band will be promoting their new graphic novel EDEN, a collaboration with Z2 Comics that’s on track to become the publisher’s best-selling book of all time. Skillet will be appearing on the SyFy Wire Live Stage Friday at 12:15 p.m. ET, but if you can’t make it to New York City, you can stream the appearance online at Youtube.com/syfywire.

Later that afternoon, New York City’s legendary purveyors of all things geek, Forbidden Planet, will host Skillet for a signing at 4 p.m. ET. What’s really cool about the signing is that it’s open to all Skillet fans — even if you don’t have a New York Comic Con badge. Just RSVP on Facebook.

EDEN features all the Skillet band members as fictional characters in a post-apocalyptic world, trying to find a gateway to a less hateful, less violent place.

In other Skillet happenings, the band’s current single “Legendary” is now the official theme song for WWE’s Raw on USA Network. You can watch WWE-shot live footage of the band performing the track now on YouTube.

Skillet’s tour with Alter Bridge runs through October 25. Then, the band will head to Europe for a new tour starting November 6.
