Watch Iggy Pop star in the new campaign for Gucci’s line of cruise wear

Considering that he never wears a shirt, you might think Iggy Pop wouldn’t be your go-to guy for a fashion campaign…but evidently Gucci thinks otherwise.

The Godfather of Punk is one of the stars in a new short film promoting the fashion brand’s Cruise 2020 collection, along with rapper Gucci Mane and actress Sienna Miller. The film, directed by controversial director Harmony Korine, was shot in an Italian villa and features scenes of party goers at a debauched celebration.

In the clip, butlers and maids are seeing prepping the villa for the guests’ arrival. Iggy shows up in a limousine with a couple of odd-looking people: He’s shirtless, of course, wearing what looks like capri pants and a massive gold necklace. He then hugs and kisses various party guests, who are all ages and gender identities.

As the guest eat, drink, frolic in the pool and play music, we see Iggy sitting on a couch wearing what looks like a pair of burgundy shorts, no shirt, calf-length white socks, red slippers and the same necklace. He’s between two women, one of whom is dressed like Cleopatra-meets-the-1920s, and the other who’s dressed like a member of a religious order.

The film is called ComeAsYouAre_RSVP, and tagline is, “Gucci is a party and everyone is invited.”
