Alice in Chains announces new bourbon collaboration, All Secrets Known

Courtesy of Few SpiritsAlice in Chains has teamed up with Evanston, Illinois-based distillery Few Spirits to create a signature bourbon, All Secrets Known.

Named after the opening track off AiC’s 2009 comeback record Black Gives Way to Blue, All Secrets Known is a 101-proof bourbon finished for six months in tequila barrels.

“There are no two spirits that have a closer association with rock and roll than whiskey and tequila,” says Few Master Distiller Paul Hletko. “Bringing together elements of both, but in an unconventional, innovative way, is an illustration of what we try to do every time we distill a new product.”

“Nobody sounds like Alice in Chains,” Hletko continues. “We were inspired by their courage to create a sound that flouted convention and thought, ‘There are lots of tequilas finished in bourbon barrels, but it’s rare to find a widely-available bourbon finished in tequila barrels. Let’s do that instead.'”

All Secrets Known will be available in select states including California, Colorado, Illinois, New York and Washington, as well as online via ReserveBar.com.

In related news, Alice guitarist/vocalist Jerry Cantrell has announced a rare solo show taking place December 7 in Los Angeles.

In an Instagram post, Cantrell teases he will “be accompanied by some cool friends performing songs you might expect, others I haven’t played in quite a while and maybe even one or two that I never have.”
