Ozzy Osbourne postpones European tour dates as he continues to recover from neck surgery

ABC/Randy HolmesOzzy Osbourne has postponed his European tour dates scheduled to begin in January 2020 as the rock legend continues to recover from neck surgery.

The Prince of Darkness revealed the news in a video posted Wednesday, in which he says that while he’s recovering, the process is “just taking a little bit longer than everyone thought it would.”

“I’ve postponed my European tour because I’m not ready,” Ozzy says. He adds that he’s “not retiring,” and that his upcoming North American tour is still scheduled to kick off in May of next year.

“When I do come back on an American tour, I wanna be one hundred percent ready to come out and knock your f***ing socks off,” Ozzy says. “And also, there’s a new album on the way.”

Rescheduled dates for the European shows have yet to be announced.

This past April, Osbourne announced that he’d suffered a fall in his home, aggravating injuries he sustained in a 2003 ATV accident. The accident and subsequent surgery forced Ozzy to bump all of his 2019 tour dates to 2020.
