Credit: Dean KarrFormer Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo is scoring his first film.
The movie, titled Los Ultimos Frikis, is a documentary about the Cuban heavy metal band Zeus. It premieres in New York City on November 10.
“It couldn’t have been a more perfect match for my debut at a new form of musical expression,” Lombardo says.
The drummer, who was born in Havana, Cuba, adds, “I have been on a path of making music solely for myself and various bands for 37 years. This is for the people of my birthplace. This is for my blood and for healing.”
