Courtesy of The Art of ElysiumDave Grohl and Marilyn Manson are performing at The Art of Elysium charity’s 13th annual Heaven gala and art installation, taking place January 4 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles.
The music lineup for the event, dubbed “Heaven Is Rock and Roll,” also includes Cheap Trick and grunge rockers L7.
The Art of Elysium is a nonprofit organization that encourages artists and communities to join together, using art to triumph over adversity.
Each year, an artist or group is honored at the Heaven gala with the Visionary Award, and also is asked to curate the event’s art installation by depicting what their idea of what heaven is. This year’s recipient is We Are Hear, an L.A.-based record label, music publisher and artist-management company founded by producers and musicians Linda Perry and Kerry Brown.
Previous Visionary Award honorees include Stevie Wonder, Devo‘s Mark Mothersbaugh, John Legend, and the aforementioned Perry.
