Green Day songs added to ‘Beat Saber’ VR game

Songs by the punk trio have been added to Beat Saber, a VR video game in which you’re equipped with a pair of lightsaber-esque blades you use to cut through different blocks representing musical beats.

With the Green Day Music Pack, you’ll be able to that some of the band’s biggest hits, including “American Idiot,” “Boulevard of Broken Dreams,” “Holiday” and “Minority,” as well as the new tunes “Father of All…” and “Fire, Ready, Aim.”

The Beat Saber announcement follows Green Day’s performance on The Game Awards Thursday night. Billie Joe Armstrong and company took the stage at the annual event, which celebrates the best in video games, to play the Dookie classic “Welcome to Paradise.”

You can play Beat Saber is now on various platforms, including PlayStation VR and Oculus.
