The 1975, Bring Me the Horizon, Billie Eilish, Lana Del Rey, Slipknot up for ‘NME’ Awards

After taking a year off in 2019, the British music publication NME has announced the nominations for its 2020 NME Awards, and the nominees include everyone from Lana Del Rey to Slipknot.

In the Best Album in the World category, the nominees include Billie Eilish‘s WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP WHERE DO WE GO?, Lana Del Rey’s Norman F****** Rockwell, Slipknot’s We Are Not Your Kind and Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost, Pt. 1 by Foals.

The Best Song in the World category includes Eilish’s “bad guy” and The 1975‘s “People,” which is also up for Best British Song.  Yungblud is up for Best British Solo Act as well as Best Solo Act in the World; that category also includes Beck, Lana Del Rey and Billie Eilish.  Yungblud also received nods for Best Collaboration and Best Video.

Bring Me the Horizon and The 1975 are up for Best British Band and Best Band in the World.  That category also includes HAIM, Tame Impala and Slipknot, among others.

Foals and Iggy Pop are both up for Best Live Act, while Lana Del Rey, The Cure and The 1975 are up for Best Festival Headliner.

Fans can also vote for Villain of the Year, Hero of the Year and Musical Moment of the Year online.

Yungblud and The 1975 will both perform at the NME Awards ceremony, taking place February 12 in London.
