The “Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked” rockers have teamed up with the Godfather of Punk for a new version of the song “Broken Boy,” which initially appeared on Cage’s latest album, Social Cues. You can download the collab now via digital outlets.

“Cage is a super high energy outfit, living the rock dream,” Pop says in a statement. “For a couple of fun minutes I was one of the boys. Sounds pretty wicked to me.”

Frontman Matt Shultz adds that Pop is a “pioneer in so many fields.”

“Only a couple times in your life do you have the opportunity to share a moment with a visionary and beautiful human as he is,” Shultz says of Iggy. “I’m grateful and blown away to have experienced and witnessed, not just his creativity, but also his kindness, humility, and humanness first hand. Such a testimony to the power of love.”

Social Cues, Cage the Elephant’s fifth studio effort, was released last April, and also includes the lead single “Ready to Let Go” and the Beck collaboration “Night Running.” It’s nominated for Best Rock Album at this Sunday’s Grammys.

Pop, meanwhile, just dropped his 18th solo album, Free, last September.
