The Glorious Sons spill their “blood and guts” on headlining tour following “gigantic” Rolling Stones gig

BMG/Black Box After opening for a Rolling Stones show last summer, The Glorious Sons are currently on their own U.S. headlining tour. Speaking with ABC Audio, frontman Brett Emmons describes what he learned his experience sharing the same stage with the British rock legends.

“I learned that The Rolling Stones are still incredible live,” Emmons laughs. “I’ve known this for a long time, but we’ve always truly admired their longevity. I think that that’s part of what makes them the greatest rock n’ roll band.”

Emmons admits he was a “little nervous” ahead of the Stones show. After all, the crowd was apparently 71,000 people strong, which Emmons understandably dubs a “gigantic audience.”

“I learned don’t book a show the day before and get on a red-eye flight back for a show in front of 71,000 people, because it’s just gonna stress you out,” he says.

Now that they’re out on their own, The Glorious Sons are supporting their new album, A War on Everything, which features the single “Panic Attack” and the ferocious cut “The Ongoing Speculation into the Death of Rock and Roll.”

“That chorus is just all blood and guts,” Emmons says of “The Ongoing Speculation.” “So it’s pretty hard not to entice a crowd with it.”

The Glorious Sons’ tour continues Tuesday in Los Angeles.
