Warner RecordsBiffy Clyro has premiered a new single called “Instant History.”
The track, which you can download now via digital outlets, is the first preview of the band’s upcoming eighth studio album, and finds the Scottish rockers experimenting with elements of pop music.
“‘Instant History’ is the biggest, most slammest pop moment we’ve ever worked on,” says frontman Simon Neil.
“Thematically it’s a good pointer for what the album is about: learning from mistakes and realizing how you can move things forward.” he continues. “Things can be similar although they’ll never be the same, but let’s not be scared of that.”
The new, currently untitled album will be the follow-up to 2016’s Ellipsis, which spawned the singles “Howl” and “Wolves of Winter.” In 2019, Biffy Clyro released Balance, Not Symmetry, the soundtrack to a film of the same name.
