I Prevail lands first ‘Billboard’ number-one with “Hurricane”

Courtesy of Fearless RecordsI Prevail has, well, prevailed atop a Billboard chart for the first time in the band’s career.

The group’s current single, “Hurricane,” has taken the number-one spot on Billboard‘s Mainstream Rock Songs chart. I Prevail had previously peaked at number three on the ranking, which measures radio airplay, with their song “Breaking Down.”

“Speechless. We currently have the #1 song in the country at rock radio,” I Prevail says of the accomplishment. “Thanks to everyone who’s believed in this band and continue to request us to be played. Still feels surreal.”

I Prevail’s experience quite a few firsts over the last few months. For example this year marked the first time the Michigan rockers were nominated for a Grammy: their record Trauma, which features both “Hurricane” and “Breaking Down,” was nominated for Best Rock Album, while the track “Bow Down” got a nod for Best Metal Performance.
