Alkaline Trio drops new EP ahead of postponed Bad Religion tour

Epitaph RecordsEarlier this month, Matt Skiba revealed that a new Alkaline Trio EP would be released ahead of their spring tour with Bad Religion. Well, as with all the other tours, the run has been postponed due to COVID-19, but Skiba and company are still forging ahead with the EP.

Simply titled E.P., the set includes three new songs: “Minds Like Minefields,” “Radio Violence” and “Smokestack.” You can download it now via digital outlets.

“With the tour postponement and the current state of the world, we feel and hope that some new music will help people transcend the uncertainty and possible fear they might be feeling, if even for a few minutes,” the Trio says.

The Bad Religion tour, which was scheduled to launch next week, will now begin in the fall. New dates have yet to be announced.

Alkaline Trio’s most recent album is 2018’s Is This Thing Cursed?
