Guitarist Kirk Hammett has been “working on riffs” while in self-isolation.
“Things are most definitely not business-as-usual, but I’m good, staying safe, working on riffs,” Hammett writes in an Instagram post. “Hope you are all okay out there as well.”
Hammett also shared a GIF of him playing his guitar, although he didn’t include any audio.
Metallica is scheduled launch a South American tour with support from Greta Van Fleet in April, which is still on, so far. They’re also set to headline the the Epicenter and Welcome to Rockville festivals in May, which are also currently planned to happen as scheduled.
