Foo Fighters launch @DavesTrueStories account amid COVID-19

The Foo Fighters frontman has launched a new Instagram account, @DavesTrueStories. On it, he plans to share “true short stories that will make people smile.”

“My mother was a brilliant English teacher, my father a wicked speechwriter, so I decided to rebel by not paying attention to grammar and or punctuation in school,” Grohl writes. “So…have mercy. Not going for a nobel prize in literature here.”

“I look forward to sharing some of the more ridiculous moments of my life with you,” he adds. “Stay tuned!”

The profile picture for @DavesTrueStories, by the way, is a photo of the x-ray from when Grohl fell off the stage during a 2015 show in Sweden and broke his leg. He still, of course, famously finished the show.

Foo Fighters had to postpone the first leg of their 25th anniversary Van Tour due to COVID-19. The outing was scheduled to visit stops Grohl and company played on the first ever Foos tour in 1995.
